I ordered 2 Garmin Motorcycle Mount for StreetPilot 2610 and 2620 (010-10495-00) and it was six days latter then I Received an e-mail from Amazon stating that the order was being cancelled and not from the seller. PC Universe! Step up and admit your mistakes and maybe you’ll keep more customers. As for me, I’ll be shopping elsewhere after the second time this has happened.”

I purchased this for use with the TomTom XL 340-S that I bought at the same time. It was recommended by Amazon as an accessory, but didn’t work. The newer TomTom GPS have a shorter windshield mount that doesn’t allow them to fit inside the dash pad properly.
I think this would be a great item for other GPS that have a taller mount because the friction pad seems like it would stay on your dash really well. But for my purposes, it wouldn’t work and have to give it 2 stars.

I don’t understand how this device has 4 out of 5 stars on Amazon.
First of all, don’t even think you can just throw this in the trunk and it will work. It will never be located. The closer you can get it to an open view of the sky the better.
The odd thing is that for the first couple of days the device seemed to be working decently well. At this price point I didn’t expect it to work every single time I hit the “locate” button but performance got worse and worse to the point that on the third day I set it on top of my car in front of my house and logged-on and it could not be located! The “zone” feature is completely worthless but I knew that going in after reading reviews on this website.
The “locate” and “continuous tracking” features worked for the first few days but now my device is unable to be located sitting out in plain view in my front yard. I live in the 12th largest city in the US, cellular service is not an issue.
Right now I am trying to upgrade the software on the device so that it can give speed readings. It is suppose to take up to 20 mins and it has been about an hour now.
I foresee returning the device under the 30-day guarantee. I do NOT recommend this device. It is not consistent. I will update this review if I return it and advise how that process goes.
—-UPDATE 1—-
I had to call Support because my Zoombak device would not upgrade to the newest software and I could not use it because it constantly says that it is upgrading. They stated this is a known issue and they are working to resolve it in 24-48 hours. Will give update in 48 hours. If it is not fixed and working reliably I have decided I will send it back.

Most IT2G owners know that it’s an addictive device, but some times you run out of juice when you’re out and about. I’m not a fan of case-style or clip-on style battery chargers; and, most of them don’t have enough juice to work more than 1-2 full charges. Enter the Just Mobile Gum Pro - I’ve gotten 5 full charges with some power to spare (I don’t run my battery down to absolute depletion but it gets below 20% before I do recharge). This is one of the best power/dollar recharges for the IT2G. It takes several hours to do an initial charge of the Gum Pro itself, but the Gum Pro fully recharges my IT2G fairly quickly. Get yourself a retractable USB cord to go with it, and it’s almost a perfect portable charging solution that will allow you to go a full day with the IT2G under most circumstances. Amazon 3rd party vendor delivered quickly and professionally.

I own a auto GPS by Garmin and I have been very happy with it so I thought this would be a good purchase as well. With the auto GPS you turn it on and off you go! This GPS device is not the same thing. Firstly, you will need to purchase TOPO maps for hiking or city maps for use in roads and residential areas. Plan on spending at least another $80-$200 for one or both which you can get at Amazon. Nothing mentions this in the on-line literature or anywhere. This GPS can be used for geocatching right out of the box as it does give your the coordinates but not much else. You will need AA batteries as this thing does not include a rechargeable batters. Also, you need to get a MicroHD card to store the maps that you purchase on. I purchased an 8GB card. When I called tech support (who were rude)they told me that an 8GB card was not compatable and I could only use a 2GB card with this unit. Nowhere is this mentioned in the provided literature, manual, or the web site. I haven’t tested this but this is what the tech support woman told me with her bad attitude. By this point I had had enough of this little gizmo and I packed up my Garmin eTrex Vista HCx and back it went to Amazon who was most cooperative with the return.

Although this item might be excellent when I purchased it I was leed to believe tthat the gps unit came with out a car charger. The gps unit comes with a car charger not a house charger. When Amazon tells people that this item is usually purchased with the gps unit their wrong. I will be returning this product to Amazon.
